"This space is a private haven," says Tulsa, Oklahoma-based designer Mel Bean. "We incorporated a gorgeous antique rug with a playful, warm pattern that pairs nicely with the custom drapes in black glazed linen. Rust-hued accent pillows are the perfect fall-inspired pop of color."

"Unfortunately, that isn't always an option for all of us, so to get cozy for fall, I suggest focusing on texture. Swapping out light linen throws for soft and furry sheepskin and replacing light toss cushions with shearling is a great way to get comfy."
